Take care of your toy, and it will take care of you!

Congratulations! You’re the new owner of a Fux Laboratories toy! Let’s find out together how to take care of it so it can be with you for many years to come.

📦 Where should I store my toy?

❌🌞 Away from direct light

Silicone can yellow over time if exposed to sunlight for too long. Store it in a dark place, such as a closet, a box, a closed shelf, or a canvas bag. Choose a breathable canvas bag over a plastic bag, which could trap moisture.

❌📥 Avoid storing everything together

Don’t let it come into contact with other silicone toys: friction could damage it. Use a dedicated box or bag for each toy.

❌💧🌡️ Choose a dry, temperate location

Our silicone is moisture-resistant, but an environment that’s too humid can promote mold growth. It withstands both heat and cold, but avoid extreme temperatures (radiators, ovens, etc.). Also avoid the freezer (temperatures below -20 °C).

❌⚖️ Avoid compression

Silicone can become deformed if left for too long (6 to 12 months) in a restrictive position (with weight on top, folded, etc.).

❌🔪 Beware of abrasive materials

Although very durable, our silicone is susceptible to damage from blades and sharp objects (knives, box cutters, scissors, etc.).

In conclusion

✅ Store in a dry, temperate place
✅ Store it alone in a canvas bag

✅ Store it away from light

🧼 How do I clean my toy?

⏲️ Cleaning Frequency

For optimal care, we recommend cleaning your toy before and after each use, especially if it’s shared.

👋 By hand

Our silicone is delicate, just like our skin! Use a mild soap and avoid abrasive products (alcohol, acetone, bleach, etc.). Wash it by hand, without a sponge or brush, to avoid damaging it.

🍽️ In the dishwasher

Yes, it’s possible! Since our toys are made of 100% silicone, if you live alone or with a supportive family, you can put them in the dishwasher (on a detergent-free cycle). Not only will your toy be cleaned, but it’ll also be disinfected! Perfect if you want to lend it to someone or get it ready for a session with a partner ;)

💦 Boiling

Our silicone is antibacterial, but if you want it to be spotless, boiling is the best way to disinfect your toy. Boil it in water, and it’ll come out looking brand-new and disinfected! Ideal if you want to lend it to someone or get it ready for a session with your partner ;)

Precautions

When boiling, use a dedicated pot (avoid using one from your kitchen) and let it boil for 3 to 5 minutes for complete disinfection.

❔ Tips

You can also add a tablespoon of baking soda to eliminate stubborn odors.

💨 Drying

After hand-washing or boiling, let your toy air dry on a clean surface before storing it. Avoid wiping it with a rough cloth.

🛢️ Which lubricant should you use?

❌ Absolutely avoid

Silicone-based lubricants (even 50%), which could damage your toy. Also avoid oil-based lubricants (petroleum jelly, coconut oil, etc.), which can degrade silicone over time.

✅ Best choices

Water-based lubricants, such as J-LUBE or K-LUBE. We recommend the latter ;) If you prefer a natural option, some lubricants made with aloe vera or plant extracts (such as Sliquid) are also suitable.

⚠️ Caution

Always check that the lubricant is compatible with silicone (look for “safe for silicone” or “water-based” on the label).
